RCA: Authentication Issues, April 24
There was an issue with authentication into Harvard Business Impact Enterprise products on the morning of Friday, April 24th. The issue was resolved by 11:15 AM EST.
We were attempting to release a version of CL Auth and we missed a database change that was critical for SSO. We have since investigated, and rerun the release with the appropriate DB update.

HBR Spark
Clients can now choose to exclude DEI-focused content from their HBR Spark Experience
- If an organization selects this configuration, their HBR Spark instance will not display:
- Content that has been identified as DEI-focused
- Championing Inclusion skills and capabilities from our HBR Spark Leadership Framework. This includes:
- The Championing Inclusion capability and its associated skills in search filters
- The Championing Inclusion capability page and releated skill page
- The ability for administrators to tag custom pathways with Championing Inclusion skills or capability in the Pathway Authoring tool
- Note: This option can be enabled/disabled at any point during a client's contract period.
UI Enhancements to HBR Spark
- We've introduced minor visual enhancements to HBR Spark to create a cleaner, more modern, and intuitive user experience. These updates include refinements to the footer, Home, Explore, and Labs pages, highlighted by the removal of the dark blue banner to improve clarity and navigation.

The Workday Cloud Connect for Learning (CCL) Connector for HBR Spark is now officially live and certified!
- This integration streamlines the process for clients integrating HBR Spark with Workday, enhancing efficiency and connectivity.
- We are now ready to onboard clients and have a listing available in Workday Marketplace. Clients interested in this integration should contact their TIM account representative.
Additional Italian Content
We’ve expanded our Italian-language content offering to better support global learners and provide more accessible, localized learning experiences across regions.
- Today, articles published in 2014 or later—as well as all newly released articles—are available in Arabic, Simplified Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish. With this release, this will expand to include the full Italian catalog.
- Approximately 14,000 Italian articles are now available, with newly published articles added in Italian on an ongoing basis
- Around 1,600 Italian video transcripts are also available
- Each machine-translated asset includes a clear label and a feedback option, allowing learners to help us continuously improve translation quality
New Feature Live: Enhanced Pathway Layout Options
Here's what's new:
- Admins can now mix-and-match rows and columns within a single pathway
- Hover over content blocks to see a direct "Edit" button for faster updates
- "Create a Section" and "Add Items" have moved from buttons to visual cards for easier navigation.
Six Leadership Labs are Now Augmented with AI-Provided Feedback
HBR Spark offers now six Leadership Labs augmented with AI-provided feedback. Learners can now take on the role of a character in a scenario and receive feedback from an AI, which evaluates their responses using a defined rubric.
